Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician born in Mexico was born into a music-loving family. Growing up she was influenced by classical music, boleros and the more traditional romantic, ranchero and romance ballads. Ana is an avid fan of Tangos. Also, she loves operas and any form theatrical performance. She started singing and studying the piano with her mom, she began her more intensive vocal training at the age of 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. Her musical education continued through the School of Music of Guadalajara University and later at the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. While a young student and professional, she was a part of many chamber groups and opera choirs in Guadalajara as well as Mexico City. In 2000, she relocated back to in the United States and sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. Later, in 2007, she returned to her home in southern California. She is currently performing classic Latin American songs at private occasions as a soloist. She is involved with many local organizations and is a teacher and performer because of her enthusiasm for music and arts. Ana was a former participant in the Community Chorus of Redlands (as well as Inland Master Chorale) and Performance Loft. Ana is privileged to have the opportunity to be able to share her love for the tradition of Latin American music. She hopes to inspire younger generations to continue the tradition.
