Rosalia
Rosalia Vila is also referred to as Rosalia Rosaly, is a Spanish singer from flamenco. Since she was a teen, she has worked both in traditional and popular music. However, her singing interests have broadened to encompass soul and hip-hop. Her voice is called by no less of talented than flamenco musician Pepe Habichuela as sharp and sweet however with a bit of bite similar to the old ones. Following her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned the singer an Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a major critical and commercial breakthrough topping Billboard's Latin Pop Albums chart and finally receiving the Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Motomami the third album by her, featured songwriting collaborations between Cory Henry and James Blake. The release date was March 20, 2022, after the show of Chicken Teriyaki by Saturday Night Live. Rosalia is the first Spanish artist to have performed alone on the popular program. Motomami Rosala as well as winning three Latin Grammy Awards and the Latin Album of the Year award two times, was the first woman to receive both awards.
